Long Nguyễn · Full-Stack Developer

Full-stack developer. I have 7 years of full-stack experience building web apps, from the UI down to the database. I'm strongest in TypeScript (Vue, Nuxt, React, NestJS), and I'm happy to pick up whatever a job needs. Right now I'm returning to hands-on Python development, learning Go and distributed systems, and researching machine learning (ML). I'm based in Saigon/HCMC (UTC+7) and work remotely. I'm available now and can start right away.

• Founder of 71.zone, a software studio in Saigon/HCMC.
• I worked at WegoPro for 4 years (remote) on B2B travel & expense, where I designed the modular monolith.
• Three production framework migrations: Nuxt 2 → Nuxt 4 at WegoPro, Vue 2 class syntax → composition API at Multiplier.finance, and Motorist.sg to Nuxt 2.
• Domains: SaaS, fintech, marketplaces, developer tooling.
• Right now: crewdoku (my own product), gidi (a small on-device ML model I'm training), infra lead at Sankit.vn, and a freelance AI dashboard.

The product comes first. Architecture, code review, and features or tasks are all there to serve it, never to become a burden on it.

Architecture. I design the data model and the APIs, then follow the work through the whole process: requirements, schema, API, UI, tests, release, and support in production. At WegoPro I designed the modular monolith that the whole team adopted, and I always kept to the boundaries between its modules.

Migrations. I've done three production framework migrations: Nuxt 2 → Nuxt 4 at WegoPro, Vue 2 class syntax → composition API at Multiplier.finance, and a move to Nuxt 2 at Motorist.sg. At WegoPro I used Vue 3 web components as a bridge between the old code and the new, and I migrated the back-office myself. I move in small steps rather than all at once, plan early which old code will be deleted, and write down what changed and why.

Mentoring. At BlockDevs I handled onboarding, code review, and technical interviews. At WegoPro I guided the team on Vue 3 patterns.

Testing. I use Jest, Cypress, and Vitest in production. I write tests for the parts worth protecting instead of chasing a coverage number.

Tech stack. I choose the tool that fits the problem, not the one I know best · strongest in TypeScript: Vue/Nuxt, React in production, Node.js with PostgreSQL and GraphQL · learning Go and ML.

Here are a few honest words from people I've worked with.

he's easily one of the most detail-oriented frontend engineers I know. … He has a sharp sense for tradeoffs, weighing the practical constraints against what would make for the most ideal solution, and consistently lands on the right call.

He has laid a solid foundation for migrating the WegoPro's main web app's Vue and Nuxt2 frameworks to Vue 3 and Nuxt 4 with minimal impact. … His details to documenting the api contracts and schema designs is second to none.

His understanding of Frontend frameworks and browser behaviour runs deep. At WegoPro, he almost single handedly revamped the designs and migrated our admin panel to Nuxt v4 … He remains calm yet focused and agile at times of stress and urgency.

Long is an exceptional Senior Frontend Developer with strong technical expertise and great attention to detail. He consistently delivers high-quality, scalable solutions while collaborating effectively with the team.

Long is a great teammate and really skilled with Vue — he helped me on side projects and always delivered solid, reliable work.

1. Web DeveloperWegoPro (formerly Travelstop)Mar 2022 – Apr 2026
   • Designed the modular monolith the whole team built on: module boundaries, shared libraries, and the integration contracts between apps and APIs.
   • Migrated a large Nuxt 2 / Vue 2 codebase to Vue 3 + Vite using the strangler fig pattern, running Vue 3 web components inside the Nuxt 2 host.
   • Owned the back-office platform on my own: data model, Node.js APIs, PostgreSQL schemas, Stripe billing, auth, multi-step forms, the i18n pipeline, and the AWS serverless infrastructure.
   • Set engineering standards for the team, led code review, handled production incidents, and mentored other developers.
2. Lead Web DeveloperBlockDevsJun 2019 – Jan 2022
   • Led the team and was responsible for taking two fintech platforms to production: Multiplier.finance (DeFi lending) and SuperLauncher (IDO launchpad).
   • Built Node.js/Express services: REST and RPC APIs, auth and sessions, PostgreSQL schemas, queries and indexes, and GraphQL indexing services.
   • Built a reusable integration module used by both products, along with shared Docker environments.
   • Moved the team from Vue 2 to Vue 3 and brought TypeScript + Vite into the project. I also ran the technical interviews and code review.
3. Web DeveloperMotorist.sgDec 2017 – Jun 2019
   • Led the move of the customer platform to server-rendered Nuxt 2, so pages loaded faster and search engines could index them better.
   • Built the marketing site and the internal back-office, including dynamic metadata, structured data, and sitemap generation.
4. Web DeveloperLetterinkMar 2016 – Dec 2017
   • Built and maintained client sites and the company site (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, WordPress), covering cross-browser support, on-page SEO, and analytics tags.

I studied computational and applied mathematics at Ton Duc Thang University from 2014 to 2016, in Saigon/HCMC.
