WegoPro: four years on a B2B travel and expense platform

What I worked on as a Web Developer at WegoPro, a B2B corporate travel and expense platform formerly called Travelstop, from March 2022 to April 2026: the back-office platform, a modular monolith architecture, and the move from Nuxt 2 to Vue 3.

WegoPro is a B2B SaaS platform for corporate travel and expense management, formerly called Travelstop. I was there as a Web Developer for four years - March 2022 to April 2026, full-time and fully remote. It's my longest tenure.

What I shipped

Four years building B2B corporate travel and expense software. I solo-owned the back-office platform: requirements, data model, API integration, UI, tests, release, and the self-managed AWS serverless infrastructure it runs on. I shipped recent bookings, policy change indicators, hierarchy approvals, custom fields, and the onboarding flow. I integrated Stripe billing, authentication flows, complex multi-step forms, and third-party services, and built the transactional email and i18n pipeline (EJS/ETA templates, nuxt-i18n, Phrase) for multiple locales. I optimised SSR and hydration, caching, lazy loading, and bundle size, and made Core Web Vitals and cross-browser compatibility release gates.

The migration

I migrated a large legacy Nuxt 2 / Vue 2 codebase to Vue 3 + Vite with a Strangler Fig strategy: a parallel Vue 3 + Vite app shipped as web components into the legacy host shell, feature by feature. The main web app moved toward a Vue 3 SPA. I migrated the back-office dashboard to Nuxt 4 + Nuxt UI on my own. This is the work I'm proudest of.

How I worked

I designed the modular monolith architecture that was adopted team-wide, defining module boundaries, shared libraries, and integration contracts across several applications and APIs. I set engineering standards, led code reviews, troubleshot production incidents, and mentored developers on Vue 3 patterns. I worked daily with product, UI/UX, backend, DevOps, and QA to turn specs into shipped features.
